Two unicorns arrived this weekThe first is a used Pico. It’s a well maintained privately owned boat with a trolley, trailer and top cover. My second unicorn is a Pink Laser. I haven’t had time to rig the laser as I wanted to have a go at polishing the hull first.This is a standard rig with a practically new rooster sail.Harken rigging. This evening a young man got into difficulties whilst swimming at Oxford Island. On this occasion it was a good outcome. However if it was not for the swift actions of a jet skier that was in the area the outcome would have been totally different. Coastguard, police and Ambulance were all in attendance. Please see advice below and think before you decide to enter the water. 30 people have drowned over the last week, in the UK. Please choose carefully where to cool off. It’s best to make use of beaches or swimming pools with lifeguards. Rivers and lakes should be avoided. These can hide hidden dangers and the water is much cooler just below the surface. This means after you jump in, your bodies natural reaction is to take a deep gasp. Never swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Parents, please talk with your children about water safety. Emergency on Lough Neagh or it’s rivers dial 999 for Coastguard. Inland emergency, dial 999 for Fire & Rescue. ...
