The list below provides answers to many Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Youth Sailing Program. If you have any specific inquiries please contact Kevin on info@loughneaghsailingclub.org or M 07710804169 (evenings).

What is the Youth Sailing Program?

Lough Neagh Sailing Club is a fun, safe sailing environment for all ages and abilities. The Youth Sailing Program is aimed at getting young people to enjoy sailing as part of a group. Why not get in touch for a ‘Try Sailing Session’ or ‘Join’ and have some fun with us!

Is there an age restriction?

Yes. We have a recommended lower limit of 8 years of age to ensure participants possess a basic level of confidence. Experience is not a requirement and we are keen to encourage families to get involved in sailing, whether on the water or socially.

How much does it cost?

Try Sailing sessions are £10 per session unless we have a FREE Try Sailing Day on offer. Membership for these sessions is not a requirement.

Club membership is a requirement for further sailing. The annual cost is as follows; £40 Junior/Student membership, £140 Family membership. Costs contribute towards the running expenses of the Club such as insurance, rent, etc. For more information visit our membership page.

Cost per sailing session is £5, booked and paid for in advance. Sailing session fees contribute towards the running costs of sessions including safety boat fuel and maintenance of equipment. There is a 50% reduction on session fees for siblings.
